Artwork Delivery Driver

Emerald Art Gallery is seeking an artwork delivery driver to join our talented art team. The driver is responsible for delivering paintings to the homes of clients on their own truck. The ideal candidate will have their own pickup truck with a cap and can use it to deliver original large artwork. The candidate should have the ability to show care in handling the delicate artwork, and friendly with our clients. Constant communication between deliveries is essential to ensure timely delivery of client purchases. This part-time position is available from May to October.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Including the following duties while other responsibilities may be assigned:

  • Delivery of paintings to client homes

  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of the purchase

Must comply with all company policies and procedures.

This part-time position has flexible hours, we can work with your schedule and schedule deliveries to fit both our clients and your schedule. Must be able to work well with other team members, artists, and interact with our guests/clients.

The ideal candidate should be good at sticking to a schedule and communicating in case they are running late. They need to inform the employer when a delivery is made so that we can follow their progress. The driver will be required to have their phone on share location so that we can track the artwork and keep our clients informed. The candidate must have a valid government-issued driver’s license and a good driving record. The candidate must have current vehicle insurance.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Spanish and English speakers (encouraged)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs

  • Must be able to carry large paintings with frames

  • Must help artists load and unload trucks

  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This position requires the ability to drive for long periods of the day.

Driver's LICENSE

  • Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

  • Truck or large vehicle driving experience (required)

  • The candidate must have current vehicular insurance.

  • Assistant must be willing to drive to any of the following states: Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, and Wisconsin

  • The candidate must have current vehicle insurance

The candidate should have the ability to show care in handling the delicate artwork, and friendly with our clients. Constant communication between deliveries is essential to ensure timely delivery of client purchases. This part-time position is available from May to October.
